Advertising and affiliate disclosure
How the magazine is paid for, and the two rules that keep the money away from the writing.
How we make money
Two ways. Advertisements appear on our pages, placed and labelled by advertising partners. And some articles contain links to products or services on which we earn a commission if you buy or book, at no extra cost to you.
Rule one: it never changes what we say
Whether an article earns a commission has no bearing on what it recommends, what it warns against, or how it ranks anything. No advertiser or merchant sees an article before it is published, and none can ask for changes. Our editorial standards apply to every article the same way.
Rule two: you can always tell
Any article that contains commission links says so at the top, before the first one. Advertisements are labelled as advertisements. Links to sources we cite are ordinary links and earn nothing.
Amazon and other programs
Prime Journal may take part in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. When we do, the article says so.
Prices and availability
Prices, offers, and availability we mention are those at the time of writing and change without notice. Check the merchant's page before you buy.
