This research was carried out to analyze the economics of beef marketing in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State. Interview schedule was used to collect data from selected one hundred and twenty beef marketers in the study area. Analytical tools used include the descriptive statistics which described the socioeconomic characteristics of the respondents. Budgetary analysis was carried out to determine profitability of the enterprise. Regression analysis was employed to ascertain the relationship between beef marketing cost and revenue generated by respondents. The result revealed that the business is profitable with a gross margin of N414596.18 and N157864.80 per month respectively for wholesale and retail beef marketers. The regression analysis revealed that storage cost (X1), transportation cost (X2), educational level (X5), transaction land rent (X6) cost price (X7), cost of equipments (X8), and marketing experience (X9) were the variables affecting returns to the enterprise in the study area. Financing the business is the major problem the respondents claimed to face in beef marketing. The study therefore recommends that beef marketers should strengthen themselves by forming cooperative groups from which members could obtain timely loans at a very low interest rate.
